My Journey in BGGTS:

My journey with BHEL-GE Gas Turbine Services has been both inspiring and transformative. As an Aeronautical Engineering graduate, I’ve always been passionate about the science of precision, safety, and reliability — and this organization has given me the platform to bring that passion to life.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to lead Quality Management System (QMS) initiatives, ensuring compliance with Aviation standard (DGCA India CAR-145) and ISO Standards such as 9001, 14001, and 45001. From preparing Quality Manuals and audit frameworks to conducting detailed Root Cause Analyses (RCA) using 8D, 5 Whys, and PDCA methodologies, my work has been driven by a simple goal — to deliver excellence every single day.

What truly sets BHEL-GE apart is its commitment to quality as a culture, not just a process. The company empowers its people to question, learn, and innovate, which has helped me grow immensely — both professionally and personally. Working at the intersection of aviation and power, I’ve seen how quality and teamwork can transform complex challenges into opportunities for progress.

My Journey in BGGTS:

I have been associated with BGGTS for 9 years now. I started my career in 2012 as a Graduate Engineer Trainee. BGGTS provided a great platform to start my career in corporate industry with a very smooth transition from being a student to a successful working professional. It has been a wonderful learning experience since then, enriched by practical knowledge in technical field beyond mere books.

My best opportunities include involvement in Quality Star Certification and ISO Certification Audits. I have also chaired the POSH committee at BGGTS as Presiding Officer. BGGTS has always helped me to hone my skills & deliver my best in the interest of Organization. At BGGTS, employees are empowered to take ownership of their work & there is immense space and trust placed on individual power to drive positive outcomes.

There are constant learning opportunities provided to employees through job rotations and job enrichments initiatives. Apart from my work I have been exposed to multiple technical and soft skills trainings and corporate social/sports events conducted at BGGTS which motivates employees, helps cross-functional working and amplifies socialness of an individual.

My Journey in BGGTS:

I am glad to be associated with BGGTS for over 3 years and feel proud to be a part of it. The management team is open-minded, employee-friendly, and conducive environment makes me feel quite comfortable. BGGTS with a flat matrix management and focused business verticals enables employees to quickly adapt, integrate, and enculture into the BGGTS way of life.

My on-job journey started with hands-on gas turbine services. Time and people management, negotiations, and decision-making keep my spirits high every single day. The organisation gives the freedom to offer suggestions for process improvement and my seniors are always open to discussion on on-the-job academic pursuits. I really felt excited to be recognised and awarded certificate from GE for Cyber Security.

As a Field Engineer, I am the face of BGGTS and this motivates me to deliver best results and efficiently collaborate with customers for a hassle-free service and joyful outage experience.

Career Growth & Leadership at BGGTS:

I am D Sreenivas, joined BGGTS in 2001 as Quality Control Engineer in refurbishment facility at Dundigal Hyderabad. In past 15+ years, BGGTS gave me opportunities which shaped my career both in professional and personal fronts.

BGGTS being a joint venture, we have unique opportunity to get exposed to Technology which runs the “World's Best Running Fleet”, EHS, Quality and Compliance systems followed by engineering giants BHEL and GE.

What I Value Most:

My Career Growth at BGGTS:

I joined BGGTS in 2012 as Senior Manager Services at the head office in Begumpet, Hyderabad. Over the years, BGGTS gave me opportunities which shaped my career across services, repair production, and outage planning.

Diverse Functions: Started as single point of contact for Multi-Year Maintenance Program (MMP) customers and expanded into Production Manager at the Repair facility, Planning Manager, and managing complex procurement and operations.

Support Culture: Our business culture places strategic focus on people and integrity, creating an outstanding environment for professional cross-functional growth.

Structured Leadership: Access to GE's global leadership curriculum helps every employee see how their individual contributions empower the broader mission of powering communities.

My Career Journey & Life at BGGTS:

It was in 2004 that I decided to join BGGTS. The state-of-the-art refurbishment facility, the technology, the equipment, and the dedicated team made an immediate and lasting impression.

BGGTS is predominantly a high-end technology-driven enterprise with best-in-class industry processes. During my tenure, I led the facility expansion to add turbine blade repair, fuel nozzle repair, and 9FA advanced component repairs in close synergy with GE global experts.

In 2007, I assumed leadership as Head of Shop Operations, steering a talented team of over 100 professionals, and subsequently transitioned to lead the Services vertical. I also had the honor of serving as company Ombudsperson for five years, championing GE compliance and integrity standards.

Life at BGGTS gives seamless avenues for innovation, exposure, learning, development, and a true sense of purpose.

My Journey with BGGTS:

When I first joined BGGTS in 2018 in the Services department, my first assignment was at the world’s largest refinery in Jamnagar. As a Field Engineer responsible for gas turbine maintenance, every day brought a new challenge that shaped my technical agility, discipline, and accountability.

After three enriching years, I transitioned into Projects & OTR, managing customer orders, OEM parts procurement, and on-time delivery. A major career milestone was serving on the Frame 9E Relocation Project — the first relocation project ever executed by BGGTS.

Today in Quality and Operations Excellence, I manage key customer accounts, ensuring reliability and maintainability of our RM&D connected units while driving continuous improvement.

My Journey with BGGTS:

With a background in Metallurgical Engineering, my career at BGGTS has been a journey of continuous growth. I began as a Quality Engineer contributing to critical processes such as NDT, heat treatment, coatings, and quality compliance audits.

After two years, I advanced to Services as a Field Engineer — becoming the first female Field Engineer (Mechanical) in our team. Working on the field on massive 50-ton heavy-duty turbines made engineering real and tangible.

I was later selected for the company’s Career Accelerator Program, a two-year rotational initiative that broadened my commercial acumen. Following completion, I took on the role of Master Planner for Outages and Projects, leading execution schedules with operational excellence.

I deeply appreciate BGGTS for its trust in young professionals and its commitment to nurturing diverse technical talent.

My Journey in BGGTS:

I am Bimba Harini Talluri, a Chartered Accountant associated with BGGTS since August 2017. For me, BGGTS has been a gold mine of opportunities and learning.

Currently positioned as DGM - Finance, I have grown through cross-functional collaboration, developing skills in operational planning, forecasting, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit compliance to support strategic business decisions.

I also chair the PoSH Internal Committee (IC) team for the Head Office and regional hubs, and have actively contributed toward driving Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI) initiatives across the organization as a DEI Ambassador.

An astute leadership team and a talented workforce make BGGTS a truly dynamic and inspiring place to perform, contribute, and thrive.
